CHRISTMAS lights are twinkling on a 20-foot spruce which has made the journey from Norway to Holmes Chapel.
The tree and lights have been installed on the village green to bring a smile to everyone’s faces and some welcome festive cheer.
The installation of the tree is organised by Cllr Mike Street each year, with Paul Green installing the Christmas lights.
Raymond Street donates the use of his man-lift equipment each year to enable the tree to be put in place.
The village’s Christmas lights are mainly in London Road, with the addition this year of the Don Alberto building opposite Barclays Bank.
The lights will be turned on each day between 4pm and 11pm.
Holmes Chapel Partnership is hosting a virtual Christmas market until Christmas Eve at hcpartnership.org.uk/
