A VIRTUAL Christmas market has been launched to support businesses in Wilmslow and local charities.

Valerie Kilby, a part time sales executive at The Cottons Hotel and Spa in Knutsford, started the venture whilst on furlough.

"It has been running very successfully," said Valerie. "The virtual platform is supporting and encouraging so many businesses. It has been created to sell products and interact online, especially during such a difficult time.

"It has been so refreshing to help so many small to medium businesses to grow. It has been amazing to support local charities at the same time.

The Wilmslow and UK Christmas Market supports Wilmslow Craft Girls who raise funds for The Christy Hospital and Wish Upon A Star.

Valerie hopes to hold a market at Wilmslow Rugby Club on Saturday, December 12.

Depending on Covid regulations, she hopes to accommodate between 50 and 60 stalls.
