CREWS spent half an hour dealing with a fire at an Allostock home late on Wednesday night that involved a log burner.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service was called out to the incident, in Brick Bank Lane, at 10.20pm on November 18.
Two fire engines were sent out to the scene – one from Northwich and another from Middlewich.
The fire was already out by the time the crews arrived, but it had caused heat damage to wooden panels behind the log burner.
Firefighters exposed plasterboard behind the log burner to clean wood, to make sure that the fire had not spread to it.
A thermal imaging camera was used to look for hotspots and monitor temperatures, and once they were satisfied that the property was safe firefighters left the address.
