NEW coronavirus cases have fallen by almost half in Cheshire West and East, latest figures have revealed.
A total of only 168 new cases have been diagnosed in the two boroughs, during the past 24 hours, compared to 332 on Monday.
Latest figures published late last night show there have been 95 new cases in Cheshire West and Chester and only 73 in Cheshire East.
The drop comes as welcome relief to the local community which had seen a big rise in the number of people catching the virus.
The total number of people diagnosed with Covid-19 in Northwich and Winsford now stands at 8, 042.
In Knutsford and Middlewich, there have been 7, 920 cases recorded since the pandemic began.
