CHILDREN are being invited to follow a new festive trail in the run-up to Christmas.

The trail is the idea of Knutsford Town Council, runs from December 14 to 20, and follows the success of the council’s Bunny Hop and Pumpkin Path.

The free trail will see families scour the town centre for nine Christmas-themed stickers in shop windows to find the hidden letters.

Completed entry forms can then be posted at designated points to be entered into a draw to win one of three Knutsford vouchers, which can be spent at more than 50 town centre businesses including Mr Simms Sweet Shop, Hal Whittaker’s Toy Shop and Stationery House.

Town council events officer Alex Brown said: “We are thrilled to be bringing a new Christmas-themed trail to the town this year.

“On the back of the overwhelmingly positive feedback for our Covid-19 friendly Pumpkin Path we thought what better way to add some festive cheer than to launch a special Christmas version, where families can again enjoy some safe fun.

“We’ve even got a few prizes up for grabs again. The trail will run in the same way as the Pumpkin Path over a week, so anyone who enjoyed that event will know what to expect.”

The free trail will run for a full week, allowing families to enjoy the trail at their leisure in the same way as the Halloween event. Participating businesses will display the trail sticker all week, so families can complete the trail as early or late in the day as they like. All completed entry forms will be entered into the draw.

Families will also be able to enjoy Christmas displays which will be installed in shop windows, as well as the town’s Christmas lights and shop Christmas trees.
