ANOTHER big rise in coronavirus cases has been recorded in Cheshire West but the number of people being diagnosed in Cheshire East is slowing down.
A total of 332 new cases have been diagnosed in the two boroughs since Friday.
Latest figures published this evening show that there have been 256 new cases in Cheshire West and Chester but the increase in Cheshire East is only 76.
The rise in cases is disappointing news for the local community which had seen a drop of almost 100 cases on Friday, following two days of figures going up.
The total number of people diagnosed with Covid in Northwich and Winsford now stands at 7, 947.
In Knutsford and Middlewich, there have been 7, 847 cases recorded since the pandemic began.
