COACHING and fitness training will continue to be offered by Toft Cricket Club captain Jimmy Lomas during this November lockdown.

The English Cricket Board announced last week that in line with the current England Covid-19 lockdown, all organised indoor and outdoor recreational cricket is suspended from November 5 to December 2 inclusive.

Therefore since Thursday Toft's clubhouse has been closed and all group cricket suspended.

"This is obviously very disappointing but is something that we cannot control, and we must look at the bigger picture," said a statement from the club committee.

In something of a U turn, the ECB then confirmed that one-to-one cricket coaching can take place as long as social distancing is maintained!

Therefore Lomas is conducting coaching sessions with individual children. To book, email jimmy_lomas@hotmail.co.uk or text 07795 171359.

The cost is £20 per session.

Toft's nets will only be open for the one-to-one sessions, not for group use.

Lomas will also be running online fitness classes three times per week during lockdown.

The days and times for the sessions on Zoom are:

Monday 6pm-6.45pm, bootcamp/hiit class

Tuesday 7pm-7.45pm, mobility/stretching

Saturday 9.30am-10.15am, bootcamp/hiit class

Sessions are £3 each and are considered suitable for all ages and abilities.

Again, email jimmy_lomas@hotmail.co.uk or text 07795 171359 to book in.

Lomas will share the Zoom link with those who book in.

Meanwhile, Toft Cricket Club's annual meeting on Thursday, December 3 at 8pm will also take place online.

Anyone wishing to attend should email simon.burley60@outlook.com and he will supply full joining instructions.

Any new nominations in the election of officers should also be emailed to Simon Burley.
