FAMILIES and friends of residents at Sunrise of Mobberley are being invited to ‘jog along with Sunrise’ to help the care home complete a charity challenge.

During November all the home’s residents, supported by staff as required, will be taking part in a 50-mile challenge for Dementia UK.

They will be raising funds so the charity can continue to support families facing dementia and provide a free Dementia Helpline seven days a week.

Lisa Burrows, the home’s general manager, said: “The residents will be undertaking a relay throughout the day to complete their allotted distance, and we would very much like families and friends to join in from their homes.

“We are asking people to send us photos or videos of them jogging or walking, and confirm how far they have gone each day, so we can add to our total here.

“Each morning we will display the photos from those happy to be involved in the challenge on our activity board in the reception area, so all our residents can see news and updates from families and friends around the world involved in the challenge, and also, we hope, receive lots of support for them for when it’s their turn too.”

Send your messages of support, photos, videos and distances covered from November 1 to Mobberley.DCR@sunrioseseniorliving.com
