BUDDING young film makers have helped to create a video showcasing what a ‘great place’ their school is.

Pupils from year 5 and 6 helped put together the film about Manor Park Primary School, which is aimed at the community and parents of prospective pupils.

Headteacher Simon Cotterill said everyone was very proud of the completed film, which features parents, staff and children, and will be available on the school’s website and Facebook page.

Knutsford Guardian:

Mr Cotterill said: “We are very proud that our children have supported the school in creating a video to showcase what a great place Manor Park is.

“With the current situation relating to Covid-19 it is more difficult for us to allow visitors in school, particularly in the normal school day.

“So we wanted to find a way in which we could show the community, and particularly parents of prospective reception children, all about the school.

Knutsford Guardian:

“Over the past week our children have helped us to create a storyboard, complete lots of filming and then started to learn how to edit the footage.

“They have filmed parents, staff, children and lots of other parts of our school day, and I have to say we are very proud of the finished film.

Knutsford Guardian:

“It never ceases to amaze me how talented our children are.

“The school film can be found on the school’s website and Facebook page, and we would love as many people as possible to take a look.

Knutsford Guardian:

“Although our film is brilliant, there is nothing like experiencing the real thing.

“At the end of the film we are inviting parents to join us for a school visit on Saturday, November 28.”
