THIS weekend marks the last one before Halloween so could be a final chance to head out to pick some pumpkins for the big day.

Cheshire has several options when it comes to pumpkin picking and here are just some of our favourites:

Cheshire Potatoes @ Heath Farm, Tarporley

No bookings required for this experience where you're invited to wind your way through the farms 'Maize' to find the the pumpkin patch, where you can pick your favourite.

Pizzas, as well as hot and cold drinks will be available, with wellies and boots required.

It is not advisable for those with pushchairs.

Opening hours - 10am-4pm.

Delamere Farm Shop, Station Road, Delamere

With thousands of homegrown pumpkins this year, there will surely be one to suit all tastes.

There is plenty of space in the picking field for people to maintain social distancing with visitors once again asked to wear wellies or boots.

Opening hours - 10am-4.30pm (no booking required).

The Hayloft, Sandy Lane Bold, Widnes

Open every day until October 31, there is no need to book ahead, with plenty of pumpkins available, with extras such as a spooky maze and tractor rides (costing extra).

The coffee shop will be serving breakfast, lunch, drinks, cakes and ice cream.

Opening hours - 10am-5pm (6pm weekdays).

Malpas Pumpkin Farm, Malpas Road, Agden, Malpas

Set over 30 acres, which is the equivillant of 15 football pitches, there have been pumpkins aplenty at this south Cheshire farm this year.

Once again, a spooky maize maze will be lots of of fun for the family, with wheelbarrows provided to transport your chosen pumpkin back to your car.

There is a cafe on site selling hot dogs, jacket potatoes, drinks and cakes.
