The deadline for entries is next Monday, October 26, and the winners will be chosen by the Mayor of Knutsford, Cllr Andrew Malloy.

The competition entries so far include Arthur Lee, Knutsford Hearing Centre, Evuna, Cocaranti and Hays Travel.

Children can enjoy finding pumpkins in town centre shop windows between October 26 and 31 as part of the annual Pumpkin Path trail.

This year families can enjoy the trail over the space of a week, allowing flexibility for families to choose a time they’d prefer to enjoy the trail at their leisure.

The pumpkins will be placed in shop windows for the entire week – this year there are 15 to find around the town centre which will include Princess Street and Canute Place for the first time.

Find the pumpkins hidden around the town centre and note down the letter carved into the pumpkin and the location on the entry form.

Completed entry forms can be deposited at one of the designated drop-off points shown on the maps to enter a prize draw.

There may be some freebies available along the way, but residents should be patient with shops and understand if some do not want to offer freebies this year.

Families enjoying the trail should not enter shops or venues unless wanting to purchase items from the business.

Halloween balloons will be dotted around the town centre – please feel free to take one home if you’d like.

Parents should keep children close by at all times as roads will remain open throughout the week, so attendees should be aware of oncoming traffic.

No formal event with road closures and entertainment will take place on Halloween evening so attendees should not gather for this.

Families can also enjoy the town council’s new Pumpkin Carving competition, where photos of carved pumpkins can be submitted to be in with a chance to win special prizes.
