THREE members of staff at a care home in Old Hall have been showered with praise for their loyalty.

The trio, who work at Westvale House Care Home in Old Hall Road, have notched up a collective 45 years of service.

Maureen Richards has been a chef at the home for 20 years and works alongside kitchen assistant Vanita Withnall, who has also dedicated 15 years of her working life to the home.

They were both recognised by the home’s operator Barchester Healthcare in its long service awards alongside carer of 10 years Kim Chamberlain.

All three have worked tirelessly with residents and their relatives over the years to ensure that their needs have been met.

And Charlotte Aspinall, general manager of Westvale House, says that everyone at the home hopes to see them flourish for years to come.

She said: “We are delighted to be celebrating 10, 15 and 20 years of loyal service with all three employees.

“They have all demonstrated complete dedication and loyalty to this home and its residents year after year.

“I speak for all of us here at Westvale House when I say that I am looking forward to many more years of working with Maureen, Vanita and Kim.”

Jane McFarlane, employee services director at Barchester, added: “I am always pleased to hear stories about the long service of Barchester staff and am delighted Maureen, Vanita and Kim have achieved these milestones.

“It is dedication like this that ensures our residents are provided with a happy place to live.”
