KNUTSFORD Cricket Club first XI brushed aside Bredbury with a power packed six-wicket victory.
Bredbury’s top order were prised open to 21-4 inside 10 overs with Zahid Saleem (three wickets) and Tariq Khan (one) doing the damage, assisted by three outstanding slip catches.
Saleem ended his stint with 5-28, however useful contributions from Usher (30) and Whittaker (25) threatened as Knutsford’s fielding relaxed.
The lower order were unable to handle the experience of Nadim Alam (3-28) who rattled the stumps for all three of his wickets to bundle out the hosts for 123 on a very good surface.
Knutsford's batters blazed from the opening delivery, reaching 50 inside six overs and 100 by the 12th.
The match ended in a flurry of boundaries, with Adnan Ghazanfar (36), Hamza Ahmed (25) and Mohsin Raza (23) the main run scorers.
Knutsford's seconds also beat Ashley Academy to complete a successful day for the club.
The final first XI game of the season is against Appleton at home on Saturday.
