THE manager of Northwich's newest cafe-bar, has thanked the people of the town for how much they've supported the business during it's first week of operating.

Sam Nowzady, store manager of BEAR in Baron's Quay, said he has been made to feel really welcome since opening the doors to the venue on Friday, September 11.

He said: "The reception we’ve had from the people of Northwich has been incredible.

"Opening a brand new store in the middle of a pandemic has been nerve wracking to say the least, but the local community has made us feel so, so welcome.

"We love it here."

Sam went on to explain how because the opening came after the governments Eat Out to Help Out scheme during August, BEAR had decided to offer customers the opportunity for September instead.

He added: "Seeing as our new friends in Northwich missed out on the deal at BEAR in August, we decided we'd extend it just for you lot through September.

"It works exactly as it did before, so anyone who visits us anytime between Monday and Wednesday during the remainder of September will get 50 per cent off food and non-alcoholic drinks up to a max of £10pp.

"Come along and make the most it."

With the government announcing further restrictions on Tuesday, Sam says BEAR, like other establishments in the town, will be ensuring they will be strictly adhered to.

He said: "We are moving to table service on Thursday and encouraging all our customers to book online on our website.

"We are training all the team to make sure it is safe for our customers and team who are working in BEAR."
