CUSTOM-built pews created for Knutsford Cemetery Chapel more than a century ago are up for sale on eBay.
The five-acre cemetery on Tabley Road opened in January 1902, and has a Grade Two listed chapel at its centre.
The management of the cemetery returned in January 2020 to Knutsford Town Council, which is planning improvements to the cemetery in the coming years as well as working to secure a long-term burial provision for Knutsford.
As part of the council’s plans for refurbishing the cemetery chapel it is replacing the old pews to create a more flexible space.
The council has put up for sale on eBay the chapel's Edwardian pine church pews, which are between 1.6 metres and three metres long.
