THERE are more pumpkins than ever to be hunted down this year in one of Knutsford’s most popular community events.

The Pumpkin Path returns from Monday, October 26 to Saturday, October 31.

It is taking place over six days to allow families the chance to enjoy the event at their leisure through the week at a time that suits them, and to prevent large crowds in the town centre.

Local businesses will join in the fun with spooky window displays and maybe a freebie or two along the way.

The public can vote for their favourite window display on their entry forms, and winners will be announced after the event.

There is an extended number of 15 pumpkins in total to be found this year, and these will be dotted through the town centre, to include Princess Street and Canute Place in the event for the first time.

Families can collect an entry form from pick-up points and deposit the completed forms at several drop-off points, which will be confirmed soon.

Full details for this year’s event will be available on the Pumpkin Path Facebook page.

Entry forms will also be provided to Knutsford primary schools so families can have a copy of the form ahead of the event, which should be brought with you on the day.

Prizes will be awarded from random-selected completed entry forms, so make sure your completed form is dropped off at one of the designated points, which will be labelled on the entry form map.

The drop-off points will be a mixture of shops and restaurants so that completed forms can be dropped off at any time of the day or evening.

Please check businesses opening hours before trying to drop off your form, and make sure to deposit your form in a designated labelled Pumpkin Path cauldron.

This year’s event will not feature road closures, so all parents should keep their children close by at all times when taking part in the event.
