TOFT Cricket Club’s “Festival of Cricket” will go ahead this weekend.
The club has been shut down since Friday after a first-team player tested positive for Covid-19, meaning the weekend’s games at all levels were cancelled.
However, the club confirmed it will reopen its facilities on Friday in time for the festival on Saturday, September 19.
All facilities in and around the clubhouse, pavilion and nets have been deep cleaned and disinfected ahead of being given the go-ahead to reopen.
The festival starts with the final All-Stars taster session from 12pm and continues with a women’s taster session from 1pm before culminating in the Taverners vs Dads and Lads match from 3pm onwards.
