THE number of confirmed coronavirus cases in specific areas of Cheshire has been revealed in a map.
With Covid-19 cases on the rise across the country in recent weeks, figures from Public Health England show the extent to which neighbourhoods around Northwich, Winsford, Middlewich, Knutsford and Wilmslow have been affected.
The map highlights areas where there have been more than two cases of coronavirus during a set time period.
It is broken up into geographical areas known as 'middle super output areas', which are smaller than whole towns but bigger than council wards or individual villages.
The latest data shows the number of confirmed Covid-19 cases from September 1 to September 7.
It shows that the following areas have had more than two cases during that time:
- Northwich Central and Winnington – five
- Lostock and Wincham – five
- Mobberley, Plumley and High Legh – five
- South Knutsford and Bexton – six
- Knutsford North – three
- Alderley Edge and Chelford – seven
- Wilmslow Town – four
- Handforth and Dean Row – five
- Wharton – four
- Winsford Glebe Green – three
- Middlewich West – seven
- Middlewich East – four
Other areas which are not listed could have had zero cases, or just one or two.
