SPANISH restaurant director Jane Dowler has thanked her customers for their support during the Eat Out to Help Out scheme as the restaurant gets set to launch a major wine offer.

Evuna in Knutsford has been taking part in the Government scheme, which runs from August 3 to 31 and offers a 50 per cent discount when you eat at restaurants registered with the scheme.

Jane Dowler said the scheme had been a great success for the business, with the Knutsford restaurant and the others in the group booked up on the days when the offer ran.

With the Eat Out scheme ending on August 31 Evuna is to launch Drink In At Take Out, whereby people can enjoy a bottle of wine in the restaurant at the takeaway price during September.

Jane said: “We can’t thank everyone enough for all the support they have so generously shown by visiting us throughout July and August.

“Eat Out has gone fantastically for us, and we have done Saturday night numbers for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday after the first week,” said Jane.

“Its been crazy busy, and we have been fully booked.

“We’ve decided that it's our turn to give something back, by turning Eat Out to Help Out on its head and offering our wines at our take-out/shop price from Monday to Wednesday for bookings.

“We’ve been importing wines for 18 years, and our biggest joy apart from the wines themselves is sharing our love of Spain’s wonderfully rich, diverse and eclectic wines.

“Our whole USP is that we import all our own wine, and they are really unique, premium quality wines.

“We couldn’t have done 50 per cent off food, that’s not sustainable.

“We could have maybe offered 25 per cent off, but I felt the wine offer was a stronger offer and was more in line with our brand.

“We are trying to introduce people to unusual, unique wines, and this is an opportunity to try some of our more premium wines for a fraction of the price.”
