BUPA care home staff and residents at Brookview in Alderley Edge and Hazelmere House in Wilmslow have been getting more creative to pass the time during lockdown.
While some external entertainment has been put on hold during lockdown staff at the homes have kept spirits up by introducing more creative workshops, brain teasers and games.
New creative activities at Brookview have included decorating craft aprons, drawing and painting stones to be placed in the garden and making bird feeders, many of which were enjoyed outside.
Residents at Hazelmere House were treated to musically-themed activities such as musical bingo, and enjoyed an outdoor concert from Collette Todd, who sang in the garden while residents listened from their patio doors and windows.
Activities co-ordinator at Brookview, Colette Mills, said: “Life in lockdown has certainly encouraged the residents to safely spend more time together.
“It’s been wonderful to see everyone pull together and support each other.
“The team here have been wonderfully imaginative when it’s come to thinking up new and exciting things to keep the residents entertained, safe and happy.”
