RESIDENTS are invited to help keep the Trent and Mersey Canal in Middlewich looking good next week.
The Canal and River Trust is hosting the Middlewich Canal Clean-Up on Tuesday, August 18.
It will start at the Big Lock, in Webb’s Lane, at 10am and run until noon.
Tasks to keep the 18th century conservation area looking in top condition include painting and clearing vegetation along the canal.
All tools and equipment will be provided by the trust, along with expert and friendly support.
Participants will need to wear sturdy footwear and clothes that could get dirty, and anyone coming along is asked to bring their own refreshments.
