DINERS have been enjoying half price meals at pubs and restaurants in Middlewich.
The Kinderton was fully booked last night, Wednesday, and has been really busy since the Government's new Eat Out to Help Out scheme started on Monday.
The promotion runs all day Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday until August 31 and offers a 50 per cent discount on food and soft drinks to a maximum of £10 per person.
The idea is to help boost the hospitality industry as it struggles to recover from lockdown.
The Narrowboat Inn in Lewin Street has also attracted extra customers.
The Narrowboat Inn offers traditional homemade food
Sharron Flaherty, floor supervisor at The Kinderton, said: "It's been crazy, we've been so busy. It is very good and definitely helping a lot.
"Our restaurant and garden are completely fully booked on Wednesday. We've already got bookings for next week."
New dishes on the menu including different steaks, lamb shank and Kinder kebab are proving very popular.

"We ran out of burgers," said Sharron. "People have been amazed to get the meals for half price and say 'wow' when we tell them.
"We've had some bigger family groups on separate tables."
Sue Coulson, from The Narrowboat Inn, said: "It can only be a good thing. We do traditional homemade food like fish, chips and mushy peas, lasagne, liver and onions, gammon and beef bourguignon.
