SEVEN new homes could be built on land behind the Co-op in Water Lane if developers get their way.
Plans have been submitted for new properties to the rear of Whitecroft House – which itself has a planning application lodged with Cheshire East Council to convert the offices above Co-op into 12 apartments.
Osmium Estates has submitted both applications, which would provide new town centre homes if approved by CEC.
In its application, the developer said: "Whilst it is likely that the two schemes will be brought forward in phases, is the intention that the developments will complement and enhance one another."
All seven homes would have two bedrooms, and would make use of existing parking facilities behind Whitecroft House, leaving 32 spaces for both developments.
Residents can comment on the plans until August 20.
