A MAN accused of defrauding another man of £47,000 is due to face a crown court trial.
Andrew Hogg, 43, appeared at South Cumbria Magistrates’ Court on Monday after being charged with fraud by abusing his position of power of attorney for Peter Hogg.
The defendant, of New Cross Walk in Sheffield, is said to have committed the offence in Ulverston between June 2010 and January 2018.
His case was sent for trial at Preston Crown Court.
The defendant will appear there on September 4 and has been bailed.
