TODAY is your last chance to win a family ticket to Chester Zoo.

Winsford Town Council is inviting residents to vote for their favourite animal to adopt in a draw.

The competition is the first activity to be launched on the council's new online community engagement platform, Involve Winsford.

Residents can have a say on projects being proposed by councillors and develop their own proposals.

The platform is designed to allow the town council to communicate with the local community, get involved and have their say.

Winsford mayor Cllr Ailsa Gaskill-Jones said: “The CitizenLab platform shows that the town council is serious about engaging with residents whenever possible and involving them in what we do.

“Not just that, but we want people to come up with ideas of their own-and we have provided funding to bring some of these into reality.

“Those who wish to access funding will need to use the CitizenLab tool and we will use the information collected to inform our decisions and allocate that funding.”

Residents can share ideas on how to solve existing issues and express opinions on proposals and initiatives.

As an opening project, everyone who lives in Winsford can choose an animal they would like the council to adopt.

The closing date for the competition is today.
