MOTORISTS on the M6 northbound are facing long delays following an earlier accident.
Traffic has just started to move after a car towing a trailer was involved in an accident between junction 19 at the A556 and junction 20 at the M56 Lymm interchange.
Congestions is beyond Knutsford Services back towards junction 18 at Middlewich/Holmes Chapel.
The motorway was blocked completely earlier this morning. Lane three remains closed for vehicle recovery.
There are currently delays of up to 60 minutes.
Drivers are urged to allow extra time for their journey.
All lanes have now reopened, as reported by Highways England at 8.50am. Delays are around 20 minutes.
