A WOMAN in her early 20s had a lucky escape after her car hit a wall.
Firefighters were called to Knutsford Road in Mobberley shortly before 6pm last night after reports of a collision.
An air ambulance was called to the scene but was not needed.
Firefighters provided first aid to the female driver of the vehicle and then passed her to the care of paramedics.
A spokesman for Knutsford Fire Station said: "Luckily the driver got out safely and was checked over by paramedics whilst firefighters made the scene safe and removed the vehicle from the road."
Crews were at the scene for around 45 minutes.
A spokesman for North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust said:"We attended the scene with a number of resources, an ambulance and an air ambulance. We took a female patient in her early 20s by land ambulance to Macclesfield General Hospital.
"The report doesn't suggest any serious injuries."
