A BEAUTY therapist has been inundated with bookings as she prepares to resume all her facial treatments.

Abbie Clarke who runs The Hair and Beauty Box in Winsford town centre with sister Hollie Ryan says she can't wait to be able to offer a full range of services from Saturday after the Government lifted its latest beauty treatment ban.

"When our booking system reopened it just went mad," said mum-of-two Abbie. 30. "My phone kept pinging. I've got a lot of clients who need their HD eyebrows done. It's been such a long time."

Hairdresser Hollie, 27, reopened the hair salon at the beginning of July and Abbie was excited to join her a few weeks later but was only allowed to offer treatments below the neck.

From Saturday, all facial work including face waxing, eyelash and eyebrow treatments, make up application, microblading, electrolysis and advanced beauty therapy and aesthetic treatments will be permitted.

"It's such a relief in terms of the business," said Abbie. "Although I have been able to get by doing nails and toes, it was a worry to think that they might not have opened us for a few more months.

"I do all aspects of beauty on the face like HD brows, brow lamination, lash lifts and all aspects of facial waxing and tinting. I'm super pleased."

Personal hygiene and safety has always been a top priority in her profession.

Abbie said: "Within our training we always sanitise and use disinfectant. We can't cross contaminate anything, I always wear gloves and sometimes us a visor if I'm microblading eyebrows. We already go above and beyond."

Abbie has now introduced additional measures to make her work station even safer.

"I have added in masks and I’ve bought a clear acrylic screen where clients can pop their hands through a letter box. It is really safe.

"Everything will get sanitised in between each client. I used to have cushions and lovely throws over the treatment bed but we can't do any of that now.

"We've moved everything out of the salon which is not needed. We only have two clients in at any one time and we are asking people to book appointments online to avoid any unnecessary visits to the salon."
