Oswestry Cambrian Rotary Club has been busy helping those around the town who need it.
Members of the club have been around Whittington Castle, helping with the limited reopening there, as well as working with other facilities across Oswestry.
Mike Lade, from Oswestry Cambrian Rotary, says they have now completed work with some groups as lockdown eases.
“We have ended the assistance to the Chapel Pharmacy in Oswestry in helping deliver prescription now they can cope with demand and the town can cope with the ‘new normal’,” he said.
“Since lockdown our Rotarians spent 150 volunteer hours delivering more than 400 prescriptions to shielding residents.
“In addition, they made food donations to the town’s foodbank and repaired their door after they had a break-in.
“We also gave a donation to OsNosh to enable them to purchase food containers for hot meals from their new kitchen at The Centre, and to Hope House to buy urgent medical equipment.
“We were back in the community at Whittington Castle to help tidy up the area, weeding and clearance in preparation for the visiting public.”
Oswestry Cambrian Rotary, who welcome men and women of 18-plus from the community, normally meet at The Wynnstay Hotel on Church Street, Oswestry on Thursday evenings at 7.45pm but not during lockdown restrictions
