PARAMEDICS treated a woman for smoke inhalation after the tumble dryer in her home caught fire.
Two fire engines from Northwich and Winsford fire stations were sent to a property on Christleton Avenue in Leftwich shortly after 11.30am yesterday, Tuesday.
On arrival, crews discovered that the fire involved a tumble dryer in the conservatory and ensured that nobody in the home was unaccounted for.
Gas and electricity supplies to the house were isolated and two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the fire with water.
Firefighters then took the tumble dryer to a safe place outside and ventilated the house due to light smoke logging.
The occupant assessed by paramedics for smoke inhalation did not require any hospital treatment.
Firefighters were in attendance for around an hour.
