THERE were long delays on the M62 this morning, Thursday, after the road was closed.
It was shut westbound close to junction seven at Rainhill Stoops after a car hit the central reservation and overturned at around 11am.
Queues are stretched back six miles to junction eight at Burtonwood.
The road was reopened when recovery work was completed around 1pm.
Please be aware there are long delays on the #M62 westbound J7 #Widness to J6 #TarbockIsland #LiverpoolAirport due to the ongoing collision. There is approx. 6 miles of congestion which is likely to add around 30 mins onto usual journey times.
