CHILDREN at a Grappenhall primary school have raised more than £500 for the NHS.
The year four youngsters at Bradshaw Primary School, lead by Phoebe Mckenzie, have completed the 262 mile challenge.
Nine-year-old Phoebe challenged her class friends to help cover a distance of 262 miles with an ambitious target of £500.
This week saw the year four heroes smash both their miles target by travelling more than 285 miles and raising more than £540 for the NHS.
Some of the class met at a socially safe distance at Victoria Park on Saturday to complete a final mile together. They dodged the rain to cycle and run a mile as a group of friends cheered on by their parents and siblings. The final mile was completed by Phoebe, Kara, George, Hayden, Jacob, Fraser and Sophie.
The rest of the year four heroes who took part in the challenge were Mrs Hunt, Isla G, Isla B, Harry and Emily.
