WILMSLOW Animal Sanctuary supporter Michelle Krauzowicz Butler has thanked the vegetable fans who helped her raise £450 for the sanctuary.
Michelle lives in Wilmslow, and following the success of her vegetables giveaway last year decided to sell this year's crop in her garden for the sanctuary, which has been hard hit by the coronavirus pandemic.
Lockdown restrictions meant the sale was switched to her driveway, the day after VE Day, and raised £200.
It was such a success she decided to hold a second sale, and Sunday's fundraiser added £250 to the total.
Michelle volunteered at the sanctuary five years ago, and is planning another sale for the charity next year.
"I would have been delighted to have raised £20 at the first sale, and the first lady who stopped gave me a £20 note – it was overwhelming," she said.
"Almost everyone gave us more than we asked, and the generosity was amazing."
