FIREFIGHTERS were called to land in Russet Way, Alderley Edge, at 3.36pm today (Thursday) following reports of flames and smoke coming from the area.
On arrival crews discovered a controlled burn which was out of control. Crews used a hose reel jet to extinguish the flames.
Crews were called to two fires in the open in Knutsford on Tuesday.
The first call was at 12.21pm to Hulse Heath Lane. Firefighters used a hose reel jet to extinguish a fire involving garden waste. The crew were at the scene for 30 minutes.
The second call was at 1.43pm Bexton Road. Firefighters used water back packs and beaters to tackle a fire on a railway embankment. The crew was at the incident for one hour.
