A FIRE involving stacked wood in a garden spread to The Carrs on Sunday night.
Four fire engines attended the incident in Bollin Hill at 8.26pm – one from Wilmslow, one from Poynton and two from Greater Manchester.
The blaze had spread from the wood to fence panels and trees, which then spread to grassland in The Carrs.
An 25m by 10m area of grass in The Carrs was affected by the fire.
Crews used two main jets to extinguish the fire, then used one main jet to damp down the area while monitoring the temperature with a thermal imaging camera.
