URGENT roadworks will take place throughout Denbighshire in the coming weeks.

Carriageway resurfacing work is due to begin on Nant Hall Road, Prestatyn, on Tuesday, May 19 for five days - extending from Mostyn Avenue to Gronant Road with a signed diversion route will be in force for the duration of the works.

Essential carriageway maintenance works are then planned on the A525, with the Talardy roundabout to Morfa Lodge roundabout closed to vehicles and pedestrians on Monday, June 1 and Tuesday 2 between 7pm and 6am each night. Works will commence around the Rhuddlan bypass on Wednesday 3.

On Tuesday 9, works will take place on the A547 on Abergele Road between Morfa Lodge roundabout and Borth roundabout, and on Wednesday 10 from Borth Roundabout to the County Boundary with Conwy county.

The weed spraying of all roads and footways throughout the county within all urban areas will begin in June and take about four to six weeks to complete.

Work to cut grass verges on A and B roads across the county will take place from June 1 for a period of between four and six weeks.

The contractors engaged on these works will be following national guidelines and practising social distancing measures.
