MOBBERLEY resident Amanda Hague is seeking information about the fatal shooting of her beloved cat Irma on Thursday morning.

Amanda lives in Wood Lane, and her three-year-old pet was found dead on her neighbour’s lawn later the same day after being shot twice by an air rifle.

She said: “My beautiful cat was brutally killed in the early hours of Thursday morning on Wood Lane.

“I’m truly heartbroken, and can’t comprehend how anyone could do something so profoundly wicked and evil as this.

“I am asking people to please be aware, as I would hate anyone else to have to go through anything like this.

“Irma was extremely special - she was an abandoned stray cat that had been rescued during hurricane Irma in Orlando.

“With help from friends and the general public enough money was raised and she was able to be flown to the UK for a new life in a loving home.

“If anyone saw her, or has any information about this, please contact me.”
