IT is usually the biggest occasion in the town's social calendar, but not this year.

Knutsford Royal May Day 2020 was due to take place today, May 2.

But the pandemic meant it had to be called off so we could all continue to play our part in fighting the coronavirus.

So today, the Guardian is celebrating Royal May Days gone by.
