A MOBBERLEY resident is celebrating winning £50,000 in the People’s Postcode Lottery.
The Broad Oak Lane resident scooped the cash prize after their postcode, WA16 6JN, was announced as a winner on Sunday, April 26.
People’s Postcode Lottery costs £10 a month to play and there are guaranteed winners every day.
People play with their chosen postcode and are automatically entered into all draws. April’s draws will see players in one postcode win £50,000 per ticket every Saturday and Sunday.
People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador, Judie McCourt, said: “A big congratulations to our Mobberley winner, what a way to end the weekend. I hope they treat themselves to something nice and enjoy spending the cash.”
A minimum of 32 per cent of ticket sales goes directly to charities and players of People’s Postcode Lottery have helped raise more than £500 million to date for good causes across Great Britain and internationally.
This draw was promoted on behalf of Clic Sargent which has received more than £9.7 million in funding thanks to players.
The charity provides vital emotional, practical, financial and clinical support to young cancer patients and their families during and after treatment.
