BIG-hearted primary school pupil Amber Hart has created gift bags for neighbours who are working in the NHS or the care sector.

Amber, 11, from Knutsford, is a pupil at Bexton Primary School, and made rainbow pin badges to put into the gift bags, along with items such as moisturising hand masks, toiletries, hand creams and guardian angel pin badges.

Amber's rainbow badges

“At the beginning of the coronavirus lockdown Amber wanted to do something kind for our friends and neighbours who are carers and NHS workers,” said Amber’s proud mum Amanda.

“Four of our immediate neighbours are carers and doctors, and we also have other friends in Knutsford who are care workers, so Amber made them rainbow badges.

“We put the badges along with a few other items together and made a gift bag for each of them.

“The gift bags all included a moisturising hand mask, a guardian angel to watch over the NHS staff and carers, a microwave meal to have on their long shifts and a handmade rainbow badge.

“Amber originally made seven gift bags, but they have been so gratefully received that she is now making more.

“Amber has put a lot of thought into this kind act, and we’ve had some lovely messages and pictures back from everyone.

“We are awaiting more items to come in the post so Amber can make more bags up.”
