HARVEY Homes co-founder and director Tom Ratcliffe is working as a community volunteer in Lower Peover to help residents during the coronavirus lockdown.

Harvey Homes is building homes at Swan Green, and is also working to bring positivity to its online communities through a children’s competition and a ‘nominate a neighbour’ campaign.

The children’s competition is to design the perfect lockdown home, with the best designs in with a chance of winning a Family Days Out Choice Voucher from BuyaGift.

Submissions need to be sent to Harvey Homes via email hello@harvey-homes.co.uk or Facebook Messenger to facebook.com/harveyhomesgroup by Friday, April 24.

The ‘nominate a neighbour’ social media campaign is designed to encourage people to nominate three people who they would most like to live near during lockdown. The idea is to foster togetherness and feelings of goodwill.

Tom said: “Since we first started work on site in Lower Peover the community has been so supportive, and we have really enjoyed getting to know the residents and businesses.

“The unprecedented situation in which we find ourselves threatens to pull communities apart, and so we want to do everything we can to bring people together again.

“We are a family business and always prioritise families and understand their needs.

“The coronavirus situation has highlighted how important family time is, and we are proud of the fact that our houses have always been designed with families in mind, to foster and encourage quality time together.”

The Harvey Homes show home at Swan Green is currently closed, and will remain so until the restrictions on movement in the UK have been lifted.

However, Harvey Homes is able to offer virtual tours through a newly-commissioned video, which is available on the housebuilder’s website and social media channels.
