CHILDREN are catching the eye with their colourful tribute to key workers during the coronavirus lockdown.

Children at St Vincent’s Primary School who are still attending school made a banner in tribute to the workers, which can be seen hanging on the school gates.

The banner was the idea of teacher Rachael Neale, who was helped by teaching assistant Jo Lees, and seven children helped to create the banner

Jo said: “The children had lots of fun painting and decorating the letters for the banner.

“They are also working on a rainbow made out of hand prints which will go alongside the banner.

“The children were particularly keen to make the banner as many of them are themselves the children of key workers.”
