TWO people were arrested on suspicion of drug possession near Llanfyllin.
The arrests were made by the Newtown Roads Policing Unit (RPU), overnight Saturday into Sunday - with one of the arrests being for suspicion of possessing Class A drugs with a street value worth of £4,500.
A spokesman for Newtown RPU said: "Vehicle stop near Llanfyllin, driver arrested and drug swipe. He also started trying to throw his 35g of cocaine.
"S18 completed at address, another arrested, in possession of 30g of Heroin and quantity of cannabis. Street value approx £4,500 class A."
