KNUTSFORD Town Council is launching an Easter colouring competition to offer themed fun for families at home during the coronavirus lockdown.

Following the cancellation of the Knutsford Bunny Hop event due to the pandemic the council wanted to offer some alternative Easter fun.

The competition features two categories: a ‘Best Bunny’ category, where children can colour in the official Bunny Rabbit template, and a ‘Free-hand’ category, where children can draw or paint their own Easter scene for submission.

The Bunny template has been supplied by Knutsford wildlife illustrator Lyndsey Green Illustration, and is available on the council's website and Facebook page

Town council events officer Alex Brown said: “Town Mayor Cllr Andrew Malloy will be judging the competition, and there will be prizes for winners of each category, which will be safely delivered to the winners’ homes.”

Children can enter both categories, and the deadline for entries to both categories is Friday, April 10, Good Friday.

Alex added: “Entrants are encouraged to share their creations with others by displaying their pictures in a front-facing window for others to see on their daily walks.

“The winners for each category will be announced on social media on Saturday, April 11.

“The winners will be contacted, and the delivery of the prizes to their homes will be arranged, or prizes can be collected if preferred during a visit out to the shops from the council offices on Toft Road.

“The town council will add all the entries into a Facebook photo album so that everyone can enjoy the wonderful creations.”
