A firefighter tackles the fire
KNUTSFORD firefighters say trees which were deliberately set on fire yesterday (Thursday) take valuable time they could use attending real emergenices.
A crew attended an incident at 4.43pm yesterday involving several trees near the Longridge estate. Crews used main jets to extinguish the fires.
Knutsford Fire Station said on twitter: "Fires like this take valuable time away from us attending real emergencies."
Anyone with information on the fire is asked to call Cheshire Police on 101 quoting IML 669083.
