BAKERY owner Jane Mooney says she will seek stay open for as long as possible, and is planning a delivery service for the vulnerable and self-isolating.

Jane owns Williamsons Bakery which opened a shop in Parkgate Lane, Knutsford, just before Christmas.

She said on Facebook: “We are a small family bakery just starting out in the area and providing handmade proper bread and cakes to the lovely people in the area.

“We have checked and bread is classed as an essential.

“We immediately started to only allow two in the shop way before the bigger chain supermarkets did and are super diligent in our hygiene procedures.

“I am anxious to do the right thing - and also have the livelihoods of my small bakery team to consider.”

Jane has received numerous messages of support on social media from people wanting her to remain open.

The shop is open 9am to 3.30pm Monday to Saturday, and only two people are allowed in at one time.

Customers need to adhere to social distancing, door handles and surfaces are regularly sanitised and people can pre-order by calling 07496 954081.
