MEDITERRANEAN restaurant owners Barton and Lucy McDonough are offering a free delivery service from Monday with no minimum order.

The couple own Pastiche in Tatton Street, Knutsford, and the new service comes in response to the impact of the coronavirus outbreak.

“We have been here 18 years, and have never known a situation like this,” said Barton.

Knutsford Guardian:

“The restaurant is our livelihood, and the delivery service is aimed at helping people, particularly the elderly, during this difficult time who are unable to get out.

“We had regulars in last night, and they said they will support us, which is great. We all need to work together as a town and pull together.”

The couple have two children, aged 12 and 13, and their loyal customers came out in force to oppose plans for an Italian restaurant opposite Pastiche.

The delivery service will cover Knutsford, Mobberley and surrounding area, and to contact Pastiche, which also offers a takeaway, call 01565 653488.Knutsford Guardian:

The free delivery will be within a three-mile radius, and available from March 23, 5.30pm to 10pm Monday to Saturay.

Barton said: "We urge our customers who are able to collect to still do so where possible to avoid strain on our new company drivers.

"This service is aimed at our customers who deem themselves in the 'at risk' category. Payments can be made by exact cash or by our portable card reader.

"We thank you for your co-operation and endless support during this difficult time."
