LEMPO’S Ibiza party is set for a seventh annual May day soirée in Knutsford.

In 2014 local DJ and music producer, Mike McGuinness, better known by the stage name, Lempo, launched Eivissa Partido, an Ibiza-themed party that brings club culture to Knutsford on Royal May Day.

Previous years have seen headline sets at the Marstons pub, The Legh Arms on Brook Street, by household names such as Judge Jules, Artful Dodger, Brandon Block, Marshall Jefferson, K-Klass and Phats and Small.

Returning for a seventh instalment, Eivissa Partido delivers another stellar line-up set to leave dance music lovers licking their lips.

Radio One and Cream legend Seb Fontaine will be spearheading the festivities alongside Lempo himself.

Completing the billing is local DJ and producer Ruff Diamond, who is returning for a third year, with the addition of Kurt Williams (Hacienda) making his debut at the event.

Mike said: “I was delighted when the new management, Caroline and Tamsin Cove, at The Legh, reached out to me and simply said ‘The show must go on!’ – I didn’t need much convincing.

“Most importantly for me is that we continue to have the wow factor along with a great atmosphere that truly channels Ibiza.

“This year we have another iconic DJ in Seb Fontaine gracing the decks for what I’m sure will be a nostalgia-fuelled event.”

Landlady Caroline Cove said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to be continuing the Eivissa Partido tradition; it’s been a constant request from our customers since we took over at the pub, so you could say it’s ‘Back by dope demand’.

Seb Fontaine

“Tamsin (Caroline’s daughter) and I have felt very welcomed by the local community, making it easy to settle into Knutsford life.

“Having a big name like Seb Fontaine perform in our pub is a dream come true; I have great memories from Cream in my heyday.

“It’s been well documented what Mike has done over previous years, and this promises to be another brilliant night - we can’t wait.”

Previous years have seen the 300 tickets sell out in advance, with wristbands for this year’s event priced at £10 and available only over the bar at The Legh Arms. Doors open at 7pm on Saturday, May 2, through to 1am.
