KNUTSFORD is in for a treat as the popular Bunny Hop will be hopping back into Knutsford town centre on Easter Saturday, April 11.

Families can search for the bunnies hidden around the town centre, outside cafes, retailers and other businesses. Once all the letters have been found, attendees can complete their Bunny Hop postcards and spell the hidden Easter phrase. The completed postcards are then posted in the postbox at Knutsford Heritage Centre in King Street.

Lots of local businesses have signed up to get involved with the event; look out for their ‘Bunny Hop Friendly’ posters in their windows during the event for special promotions and giveaways.

As well as the trail, there is plenty of extra fun to be had during this year’s event. Families can enjoy Breakfast with the Easter Bunny from 9am to 11am followed by face painting from 11am to 2pm – both in Knutsford Market Hall.

Children can keep hold of their Easter Bonnets from school parades and bring them to the Easter Bonnet Competition which will be hosted by Mr Simms and judged by Mr Simms, Cocaranti and the Mayor of Knutsford. All participants receive a small prize upon entry and certificates will be awarded to a first place winner and two runners up with a prize for first place.

Balloon modelling in aid of Children Adventure Farm Trust will take place on King Street near The Angel, organised by Mr Simms, and tastings sessions will take place at Little Waitrose on Princess Street.

Children might also spot our start guest, the real life Easter Bunny, as they hop around the town centre and visit all of the bunny stations. They might even have a balloon or two.

Three winners will be selected from the entries of completed Bunny Hop postcards and they will win a special prize each which are kindly donated by local businesses Hal Whittaker’s Toy Shop, Real Fruit Creamery and Mr Simms. Winners will be contacted Tuesday, April 14.

This year’s event has been kindly sponsored by The Mere Day Nursery and Bella Design & Marketing, with support from Mr Simms Olde Sweet Shop and Little Waitrose.

Sarah Eyes, Nursery Manager at Mere Day Nursery, said: “It’s great to be involved and to be sponsoring this fabulous event again this year. We look forward to see lots of you there.”
