GANDEYS Circus is back in Knutsford at the end of March, marking more than 100 years since the show first came to town.

Europe's largest touring big top show returns from Wednesday, March 25 to Sunday, March 29, bringing its new 2020 production to the Heath.

Following last year's popular Thunderdome with three riders, this year will up the ante by bringing five riders into the cage.

The 'wheel of death' with two acrobats also returns in a new guise – the double wheel with four acrobats.

Overseeing proceedings are the 'double trouble' duo of clowns Chico Rico and Andreea.

A spokesman said: "Join us on an incredible journey from Victorian England through the USA, South America, Bollywood and Africa in an epic two-hour adventure.

"We even have two boys making their first UK appearance from India's Got Talent, performing the Indian sport the Mallakhamb pole – incredible acrobatics combined with yoga.

"Our spectacular Day of the Dead finale, featuring a stunning laser light show, will prove this is the biggest and most exciting show we have brought to Cheshire yet."

Shows will take place at 6.30pm on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, at 2pm, 5pm and 7.30pm on Saturday, and noon and 3pm on Sunday.
